cONSUMER ROBUSTAS

Shane Forrest“Consumer Robusta”cardboard fruit boxes I find surprising rewards in the worthless and the discarded. I explore notions of the over abundance of our society by utilising the over abundance of discarded materials. I particularly like produce packaging as it is not only supplied in abundance but has images of perfect and plentiful goods. The old messages are recontextualised by imposing new subject matter which is drawn from a local context .The subject matter of abundance is explored through figurative images of successful, suburban shoppers.
